Democracy.
A lot of discussions are being carried on state power pattern that fits better to various human societies. Many people for some various reasons refer to some advantages of autocracy system. Often they refer to long-time traditions of those..., to the folk immaturity that would lead to disaster in lack of wise state power...etc.
To opponent those people I’d love to prove the evolutionary advantages of democracy.
As the main democracy plus I regard a system of reliable periodical society-government feedback, which the elections are supposed to be. Indeed the society might be immature, just like a child, but nobody would get mature without some sovereignty.
So, let’s return to feedback. The very biological evolution process is based on conditions-features changes feedback. It’s biodiversity engine, that let species react on condition changes. But when species «in general» are spoken such a feedback is lethal, the looser either die or just leave no issues - what is the same, isn’t it?
Human being, Homo sapiens is a part of nature, a biological species. Hence it must follow the same biological lows. But we all are always keen in minimizing lethal outcome. At the same time Homo sapiens is a very special species, that have mind and hence it got regarded by some philosophers as independent GEOLOGICAL factor.
So no «traditional», biological feedbacks influence us now? At least seldom enough to neglect it. Next conclusion could be made then: we need to establish another feedback system. As it has already been proved in the piece above it is democracy.
OK, and what could be done with culture traditions? How to make nation mature enough to take such a responsibility?
Two ways could be offered here - but only one if been regarded attentively.
A monarch could be reserved as representation way. Constitutional monarchy, like one in Great Britain. That would meet for a while folk expectations; after all it is very romantic and picturesque. At the same time large-scale common folk education system could not be missed. To get matured one should develop it-self. And that can be done by now only through education, «pure knowledge» by no mean but the ability to get new information and to pose questions. By the way, for the beginning constitutional monarchy with some hypothetic WISE father of nation would be certainly more attractive - the only problem is that this father of nation would UNAVOIDABLY loose all his wisdom soon (it’s biological low too) So wide people education is the main key now. I’m afraid few time is left.
