Feminism
We all are starving for some questions answers sometimes. But to get those answers we'd need some quiet time to reflect on them. At the same time today world got that fast that we are always short in time. We are always hurrying up; we are always running somewhere.
Only seldom we would be able to stop and to reflect for a bit. So usually we have to swallow the ready answers, prepared by somebody else, those that have time to reflect.
The presented text was composed by a Russian girl. She was graduated from the Moscow State University, and then she got Master degree in Marine biology. After that she used to work for WWF Russian Programme Office. The fate made that girl to stop for a while. She was hit by a car and got a Wheelchair handicap. Historically and biologically (and as I've recently read evolutionary too) no physical equality between men and women is possible. It is very clear. But that biological inequality had lead to social position difference. It had happened long ago and hence it was regarded at as "traditional", "natural".
In course of human evolution the accent had been done on the brain increase, thus on head increase as well. Consequently the human head increased too - and the birth got harder, the childhood period got longer and baby got depending on mother assistance longer. That resulted on the social role difference. A woman had to carry about housekeeping while a man had to feed her and children. The more so since baby head increase resulted in poorer woman ability to run and to hunt.
That has resulted in its turn in the man domination.
For a long time the housekeeping was difficult enough to keep women constantly busy and not paying attention to other questions. Only some of them, those belonging to the upper class had the opportunity to get free of housekeeping problems. Certainly, the education usual women had got that time was rather poor. If those were common-mind persons their privileges spoilt them completely. But few of them (it happens sometimes, not often) so few of them show us a perfect example of female mind potential.
Another question is that for a long time the only way for female status rising was successful marriage. That had many psychological consequences - for example even such a ridicule one as usual lady’s magazine advises on how to get the man you like and how to choose the correct one. It was considered that a single woman is nothing but a looser that was not able to get an appropriate man.
This idea was supported by men who occupied the principal positions and thus it lead to many injustices. By the end of 19th century new options occurred -housekeeping ones first of all,-and women got much more free time. Hence their role in society increased significantly. That time the initiative of feminism had been born. It started struggling with those "natural" views, strongly supported by men which were not ready to leave the dominating position. So that time feminism got a lot of resistance and hence it had to be strong to resist it. After all it won but it got that strong that currently men got too weak in comparison. The most all-triumphing feminism got in America.
Condolisa Rice presents an apotheosis of not feminism only but of political correctness too. She is not only a woman but black too! (Sorry, an Afro-American)
But there are some other examples too - Catherine the Great and some others but all of them were either queens or any High Persons mistresses.
Nowadays the situation has changed. We do not depend on men so much -of course we do depend, but psychologically mainly. Though it can’t be underestimated that psychology is a very serious thing. Beside the education traditions the principle factor is that few people are able to leave alone, without any support (even just a psychological one). And I do not understand the reason the homosexual couples are considered that awful. If it's a real couple, then it's quite o.k. The only problem is that homosexual people usually are not quite steady, reserved.
