To: Local residential Clinics
Sorokina Olga Artemievna,
31 years old, remained hospitalized at the Orthopedic Division from March 1 to March
18, 2005, diagnosed with neurogenic deformation of the left wrist.
From anamnesis: multiple
traumas as a result of hit-and-run accident in 1999; serious cranio-cerebral trauma,
multipla bone fractures; the patiens suffers from post-traumatic paresis of heap
nerves, post-traumatic neurogenic deformation of arms; in 2002 total heap replacement
was performed because of heap pathological fracture (due to ostheoporosis); in 2004
Prof. Golubev performed correction of neurogenic deformation of left elbow joint,
he recommended surgical correction of neurogenic deformations in both wrists; the
patient was hospitalized as scheduled for operation.
On March 2, 2004,
surgical correcton of left wrist was performed (Zakelli's method). The followind
post-operational period proceeded without complications. Anti-bacterial therapy
was applied, the patient was administered analgesics. The patient received a course
of physiotherapy. The operation wound was healed by primary expansion, the stitches
were taken out on March 14, 2005; points of insertion of fixing braces did not show
accute inflammation, hard bandage was applied to fix the arm. On March 17, 2005
the patient was examined by Prof. Golubev, who recommended to continue physical
therapy. The braces are to be removed in 6 weeks, until them the arm is to remain
immobilized.
The patient was released
from the hospital in satisfactory condition.
No antibodies were
found for HIV, HBS, HCV (exams performed on February 21, 2005); RW-negativ (exam
performed on February 21, 2005); 0(I), Rh(+).
Recommendations: physical
therapy; braces removal in 6 weeks after operation; observation by a traumathologist-orthopedist
in a local residential clinics.
